At times, it seems that maybe we limit God to what we can
logically understand or explain. We limit what God is capable of doing because
it might not make complete sense to us or it expands beyond the ability of even
the most extraordinary human being. But, as the text states above, God’s power
and ability is not chained, or restrained by what we think is logical,
possible, or makes the most sense. If God wants to do something, he WILL do it.
Simple as that. Even if it defies all logical thought and we can’t explain a
single bit of it. It will still be done. So if God wants to remove the cancer
from a person that was deemed terminally ill, he will. If God wants to place a
financial blessing in the lap of someone desperate, broke, and hopeless, he
will. If God wants to take an infant life deemed worthless and mold it into a
mighty, world changing person, he will. When we limit what we think God can
accomplish, we start to remove the very essence of God…we start to bring God
down to our level. And God does not belong at our level…and we have no business
trying to bring him down to it. God is meant to be held on high, respected
above all, worshipped, magnified, and loved above anything and everything in our
lives. He is all powerful, miraculous, and at times, completely unexplainable…because
he is God…and that’s just how it is. What an incredibly blessed and privileged
people we are to have God on our side…to have this incredibly capable,
powerful, and unexplainably loving God fighting FOR us…in our corner, giving
everything so that we can be close to him. To God be the glory!
