Unless the LORD had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death. When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.
Imagine how cold, empty, and dark life would be without God…without the ability to turn to Him in our time of need, when things are desperate, and the road ahead looks rocky. It seems absolutely chilling to consider a life completely void of the Lord. Thankfully, we are not separated from Him…thankfully we are not cast aside because of OUR mistakes…thankfully we have His love despite what misguided and foolish path we choose. God’s never going to leave us out in the cold to fend for ourselves…even if WE push Him aside and attempt to venture out on our own, we can still return to Him…As is seen in Psalm 94:14, “For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance”. What an incredible gift we have in the love from our Lord. May we find hope in that today, and seek our strength, security, and peace through Him. To God be the glory!
