This is why we need Jesus so very much. This is why we are
pitifully hopeless and helpless without Jesus. This is why we cling to this perfect
Man, Jesus, as our Savior. God calls us to be blameless…without fault, free from
mistake, perfect. There is not a person (aside from Christ, obviously) who has
lived, is living now, or will live years from now that can claim to be
blameless. All have sinned, all have failed, and all are completely guilty of
dipping into sin. No matter how hard we try, we are going to mess up. We are
flawed individuals incapable of getting everything right. We may get a few things
right…and that’s nice and all…but God calls us to get EVERYTHING right. And
that is impossible. But instead of just throwing us all out and starting over gain,
fresh from the start with better people, God sent His Son to take the pain that
we are due. God sent Jesus to this land…the one true God in the form of man, to
live a completely blameless life, and die a sinners death, so that we may
appear blameless before the Lord. Christ died on that cross and rose from the
dead so that when our time comes to a close here on earth, and we find
ourselves called before the Lord to give an account of how we have lived our
lives, God won’t see all the sin that we have filled our lives with. Instead he
will see Christ, the one blameless man, recognizing us as his own, and proclaiming
us blameless before the Lord. We are truly a blessed people…may we live with
this fresh in our minds each day. To God be the glory!
