However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"
Imagine what each day would be like if we didn’t have that little promise stored away in the back of our mind. That little promise that started when Christ hung from that cross, died, then rose again, defeating sin and death…defeating something that we are incapable of defeating on our own…something that we once stood victim to, helpless and hopeless. Imagine if we knew of no heaven…if all we knew was that this life was pretty much all there was to our existence and once it came to a close, that was pretty much all she wrote…no paradise, no renewal, no restoration. There would be no reward at the final curtain call…no prize at the end of the race…no joyous reunion with family and friends. It’s easy to lose sight of what awaits us through faith in Christ…it’s easy to get mired in the daily grind, focusing only on what is right in front of us and forgetting what is at the end of the road. As the text states above, this heaven we are reaching for goes beyond anything we can even conceive…so naturally it’s hard to even picture or imagine. But make no mistake, it is REAL…God is REAL…and the resurrection of Christ is REAL. So if life starts getting a little gray, a little heavy, a little uncomfortable, look up the verse above in 1 Corinthians and smile…you have been redeemed, you have been rescued…you are destined for a place of inconceivable greatness one day. Carry that with you today and share it with another! To God be the glory!
