Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Well if there was ever any question about what we are to do with the message of the Gospel, the answer is right in front of us here. We are to share it…with absolutely everyone. The text above states that EVERY knee should be bowing and EVERY tongue should be confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord…no one that is walking, has walked, or will walk this earth is exempt from the Gospel. With the world’s population approaching an estimated 7 billion people, the idea of sharing the Gospel with everyone seems incredibly overwhelming. In fact, it would be downright impossible for one person to contact every single person and have a real conversation about the Gospel. But what if we can contact one person? What if we can reach one person that has yet to call Christ their Lord? What if we open up one single life to the incredible relationship that can be had between the Creator and his creation? Is it worth it? Absolutely. Just imagine being that one person living without knowing the Savior…living without knowing that there is peace and rest ahead…and that no matter how many times they mess up in this world, they are promised a place in heaven through faith in Christ. And who knows, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we might find that if we all start sharing our faith each day, over time we just might approach that 7 billion target. To God be the glory!
